Should You try Colon Cleansing Diet?
This past few weeks, I was feeling very sluggish even if I had a complete night’s rest. I feel just depleted of the energy that I used to have. It is like a feeling of being sucked into a vortex that dries you up slowly into lethargy.
This Saturday, I made a visit to a friend’s house and I was curious on what she is drinking. She said that she’s on a “Master Cleanse” diet for three days already and she felt more energetic than her usual self.
She was just sipping a glass of the most curious lemonade I’ve ever heard. She mixed freshly squeezed lemons, organic grade maple and a dash of red cayenne pepper with filtered, mineral water. I asked her why put pepper on it? She just told me that it may be unusual, but pepper is a strong detox agent that stimulates the blood flow.
Curiosity made me take a sip. It tastes good, like your usual lemonade – only with a hot after taste. She also told me to try sea salt water every morning or before I go to sleep at nights. It is just a simple mix of unrefined sea salts with your mineral water. The acid and all that salt can leave the body dehydrated and drinking water every now and then – would help.
Still unconvinced, I browsed the web to check it out. This practice had been used thousands of years ago and some people claim it to aid in weight loss. Stars like Beyonce Knowles, Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow have tried it and they look just fab. I have found a video on the web on how to do the Lemonade Diet and it’s just as easy as 1-2-3, even if you don’t have an electric juicer to start with.
Toxins trapped inside the body makes it sick and being on this colon cleansing diet would not only expel your colon of sticky wastes the color of tar, but it will also get rid of those phlegm and mucus – in chunks. So, this can be a very messy step to take for that cleaner, healthier body. Although the acid flux could mean the risks of vitamin deficiencies, muscle loss and blood sugar issues – the only annoying thing is the frequent visit to the toilet, if ever I would try it for a couple of days.
For the promise of a fully-rejuvenated body, I am excited in giving it a try. There are so many over-the-counter laxatives with chemicals, but nothing beats the natural way. I love to have that energy back into my life and be rid of my aching joints. It may take time getting used to, with just a few minor drawbacks like headache ( as my body will be forced to cleanse itself ). I will be heading off to the nearest fresh fruit market later to buy the ingredients I need. I can’t wait to start the Fruit Flush!
