Budokon: Just Another Fitness Gimmick?
When Cameron Shayne introduced the way of the spiritual warrior known as Budokon, he could never have been wrong. Is this another one of the many fitness hype? Perhaps Not.
I love fusion exercises that doesn’t strain the muscles a lot and I do this in the form of yoga and pilates, or whichever is more convenient. A routine workout can sometimes be too dull and I sometimes do my own in the comforts of my room, with my yoga mat and soothing meditation music in the background.
Magazines, newspapers and gossip news are becoming hooked on Budokon and its marvelous effects to the mind, body and soul. Perhaps the very same reason why Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Arquette signed up for the program in the first place.
Checking out Shayne’s website, Budokon is simply explained as a living art, where the mind is transformed through precision of movements. It’s like having yoga and martial arts, but crafted to bring out that balance, control, speed, power, strength and flow all over yourself. There are two types of series to choose from: Yogic and Budo. The Yogic technique differs from Hatha Yoga, where calm meets precision. The Budo series is where you will encounter heart-pumping moves that will teach you how to focus your power.
Just another hype? Budokon is being tagged as a miracle workout and becoming a trendsetter among celebrities. Reading more about this practice, it is mostly centered in Zen, of freedom and single-minded living. It is a practice that is free from suffering and thus, Budokon means The Way of the Spiritual Warrior.
One can easily mistake Budokon as a secret cult when you read its teachings and philosophy, but it is definitely not. One thing’s for sure: Budokon will give you a mega workout that will make you achieve freedom from your unhealthy enslavement, or so the teaching would say.
