Harnessing Energy with Reiki

April 3rd, 2009

Stress… we hate it, but we don’t have to live our everyday lives in it. I have tried almost everything I know to come up with a way to relax and feel that healing from within.  Since I don’t want to be dependent on anti-stress pills that are becoming my personal morphine, I am then on a hunt for that elixir of relief.

There is always great wisdom from the East, and I found mine in the mystic land of Japan.  I have been using soothing essential oils whose relaxing aroma helps me get that good night sleep.  But I need something more.

I found the answer in Reiki ( Ray-Key ).  When the body is sick, there is an imbalance of energy within.  Reiki is the key in unblocking those walls that are stopping the harmonious flow of energy inside.  I can only thank its founder, Sensei Mikao Usui, for such an ingenious solution.

Rei means universal and Ki means life energy.  The word is as simple as its ways.  It’s all about laying hands and making you feel that magical glow – from the inside out.  It’s like a feeling of being washed with the freshest water of mountain streams.  Not only does the body feel at ease, but also the mind, heart and the soul.  This spiritual activity can be taught by a Reiki master.  It’s all about being attuned,  and having an open mind to see a whole new perspective… in the world of healing.

Remember this: When the body, mind and soul is at one, then health and well-
being is achieved.
