There are many weight loss solutions in the market, all promising to give you an instant weight loss, from days to a few weeks – making you wonder if you’ll ever live up to that promise. Chances are, you’ll be heading your way into deep-seated frustrations and all those negative emotions that may want to make you just quit altogether.

Having a goal in mind is a good thing to have when it comes to achieving your ideal body weight. The question is: Are they realistic? For this same reason, we see many who are taking the risk of fad diets, synthetic weight loss pills, and those questionable weight loss practices that were never approved as safe in the first place.

Who is to blame? Is it the consumers fault? Or, should media be more responsible with their weight loss campaign?

There is no quick and easy solution when it comes to losing weight and you must need to find natural means to keeping those excess fats and flabs away – for good. If you can’t discipline yourself to curb your cravings, you can always turn to natural solutions to make you feel full and satiated. Remember, you live to eat and you don’t use food as an excuse for times when you shouldn’t.

When it comes to weight loss, don’t be too harsh on yourself. All those anxieties and worries can just make you seek for your favorite comfort food. So, be gentle with you and you’ll see guaranteed results, slowly but surely.

Learn the difference between success and failure. It is important to stay focused and motivated. Here are ways for you to set realistic weight loss goals:

Learn the Word – Slow

Research will tell you that losing 5-10 percent of your weight is highly doable. Let’s say you are 200 pounds and this means setting a target of 10-20 pounds to get that ideal body weight.

Get Real with Your Goals

You know your strengths and weaknesses. Don’t over-exercise yourself to exhaustion and always listen to what your body tells you. Planning goals that are tailor-made to your expectations and lifestyle is an essential key to your success.

Make it a Habit

Instead of feeling obliged to do your weight loss routines, why not think of it as a part of your daily living? Consistency is the key to achieving and maintaining your body weight. Besides, this habit can turn into a long term goal.

Keep that Positive Attitude

Nothing sabotages a well-rounded plan but a trip to fat-and-ugly memory lane. If you can see how beautiful you will be in a few months, you’ll feel and think very different about yourself. Your body will just create that image you have in mind.

Write on Your Weight Loss Journal

From planning to execution of your weight loss goals, you must keep a record of it for you to track your own progress. It is important to schedule your activities with your daily living. You may also write down your goals, hopes, and desires, or even those times when you experience a setback.

In this way, you can track your progress and know areas where you can further improve to achieve the body weight you have in mind. Setting up your weight loss goals should be a fun thing to do, and it should be realistic for you to achieve and maintain.

For this, I may have to agree with Leslie Bonci, R.D., M.P.H., and UPMC. Here’s a nice video I’ve found that makes a whole lot sense:

In the end, it is all about healthy eating and exercising that will put the sense back into your weight loss goals. Enjoy that natural, healthy solution and be motivated.
