Water on the Rocks: Lose Weight and Drink Up!
Just when another weight loss hype hits the market, a new study have found out that all you need is good old water that costs very little and gives you a lot in return. Just when all those revolutionary ways for weight loss have flooded the market, the answer is just within reach, accessible to many: Drinking Water.
Not all water are made equal and the best way to benefit for maximum health is to drink up alkaline or ionized water. Since pure water comes at a pH level of 7, your ionized water is higher than that. Lower the levels, and you also expose yourself to the risk of contaminants and acidity that can wreak havoc in your body, causing you to be sick.
Drinking water can be frowned at by many due its taste, due to trace chemicals like fluorides, chlorine, etc. In fact, drinking pure water has been practiced since the 60s in Japan, and has been a standard of practice in hospitals up to now. There was even a research done on 30 cancer patients who have recovered with drinking pure water. Unbelievable? Maybe not. Our bodies are made of 70% water and it is only logical to drink up and replenish.
Water for Weight Loss – For Real? Last year, a research presented on the obesity conference in Phoenix have shown that those who drank 2 glasses of water, 20-30 minutes before meal, lost weight faster than those who didn’t. It is really tough for our bodies to know if it’s hungry or thirsty. Most of the time, you’re just thirsty. If you’re craving for unhealthy foods, try to drink up a glass of pure water.
Water is the very potion you need to lose all those extra pounds and it’s everywhere. This nature’s weight loss mineral is your ticket to a perfect svelte. We also get water from the foods we eat, so the usual 8 glasses of water a day can really be lesser than that. Fruits, vegetables, soup, and low-fat dairy are all great water-based food.
Some will suggest drinking cold water to force your body to burn more calories as you drink up. Water helps not only in suppressing your appetite that makes you feel full, but it also helps your body metabolize fat. When you drink water, you help your kidneys function well. If the kidneys are water-deprived, your liver then will take up the slack. This means double time for your liver and slowing down of your body’s metabolism rate.
With this written, the next time you want to grab your favorite food, think twice. Perhaps, you’re just thirsty after all.
Love Water… for HEALTH!
How Much Water Do You Need to Lose Weight?

I can totally recommend Peter’s book. I have been doing the ‘Master Cleanse’ for probably almost 15 years. Several of my friends do it also, many do it to help with seasonal allergies. I didn’t learn too much new when reading the book; however, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I did appreciate the straw tip for the salt water flush; it helps some. It reaffirmed why I love to do the cleanse, the benefits of it and the importance of trying to stick to Stanley Burroughs instructions as closely as possible. It was fun to read peoples reactions, symptoms and benefits. Two years ago I did my longest cleanse for 28 days. I am on one now, day 20 and would like to beat my own record. I have loaned my book out several times along with the Boroughs booklet. Thank you Peter for writing the book. I am sure it will help many to try it. Debbie G.
Thanks Debbie for the wonderful sharing. Many of our illnesses are caused by toxins trapped from within and it doesn’t really harm for anyone to do a self-cleansing act every now and then. Cheers!
This book is an excellent resource. I used it myself to melt away over 50 lbs after baby #2!!! I am an RN and Certified Lactation consultant and use this book as a reference when counseling mothers on weight loss. This is a wonderful book and will be a wonderful benefit for the reader. It helps you plan meals and know how many servings you need to achieve your weight loss goals!
