Pain Relief Goes Natural!

September 5th, 2009

Our modern lifestyle has given rise in a number of baffling diseases that come without a cure, depleting our body’s energies, making us feel tired, restless, and deeply pained. The word stress has indeed evolved into a series of mind-boggling illnesses that make doctors forever in the guess work on what’s truly wrong with you, your mind, and your body. Worst of all, you find yourself at the mercy of pain reliever pills, whose dosage gets higher in time as your pain gets more intense. There is simply no cure, the experts tell you.

Women aged 20-55 have been plagued with a certain type of musculoskeletal pain that is chronic in nature and whose causes are unknown: FIBROMYALGIA. There are speculations on the possible causes like a viral / bacterial infection, emotional stress, insomnia, hormonal imbalance, low levels of serotonin, poor immune system, mercury poisoning, allergies, hyploglycemia, or hypothyroidism. Those who are suffering fibromyalgia can also have a problem with their liver’s detoxification functions. Fibromyalgia is diagnosed using a series of laboratory or clinical tests to rule out other causes. Yet, the findings can always be inconclusive.

What are the Symptoms of Fibromyalgia?

  • Musculoskeletal pain ( neck, chest, back, arms, legs )
  • Pain that worsens with exertion
  • Fatigue ( including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome )
  • Memory and Concentration Problems
  • Swollen Lymph Nodes
  • Migraines/Headaches/Dizziness
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Restless Leg Syndrome
  • Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Are There Natural Cures for Fibromyalgia? YES, there are! If you are tired of taking conventional pills that focus on the symptoms instead of giving you a long-term cure, it is time to go back to nature for healing and find your relief through these natural alternatives:

  • Change to a Healthier Lifestyle
  • Stocking up on Vitamin D
  • Loving Your CoEnzyme Q10
  • Using Cayenne Pepper in Your Meals ( skip if you have allergies )
  • Avoiding sugar, refined carbohydrates, white flour products, and starches
  • Eating Plenty of Fruits and Vegetables Everyday
  • Getting Quality Sleep Each Night
  • Avoiding Food Additives like MSG and Aspartame
  • Engaging in Physical Activities and Exercises
  • Having a Fiber-Rich Diet
  • Acupuncture
  • Drinking Pure Water

You cannot get all nutrients from eating food alone. If you’re looking for supplements, you can buy free form amino acids which help in protein digestion, malic acid that’s great for fatigue and muscle ache, niacin that aids in blood circulation, melatonin to help you sleep well, and vitamins B and C. Make sure to read your labels and be sure you get the best, natural healthy options to keep you fit and fibromyalgia-free .. for good!

In a recent book, The Truth About Fibromyalgia, it is pointed out that it is a disorder brought about by disrupted deep sleep patterns that prevent the limbic system from adequately recharging. As a result, pain and sympathetic activity are not properly regulated and the pain volume is turnd too high…a must read.
