Beauty may be more than skin deep and is touted to be in the eyes of the beholder, but your skin is the very clothing you wear that people see each day. How many times have we marveled at people with amazing, youthful, healthy, and glowing skin? Perhaps, a lot. Our vanity has even driven us to spend thousands of dollars on skin care products that promise the alabaster beauty to shine from within. Truly, one cannot ignore that people judge you by your skin, which is the largest organ of your body.

Having a healthy, glowing skin is NOT an issue of color or race, but it is about keeping it youthful. Your skin transmits a lot of information and it never lies. For this reason, we see many people going under a surgeon’s knife just to preserve that icon of beauty and youth they hold inside their heads. Narcissistic stuff? Perhaps. This race against the body’s biological clock may be a losing battle, but surely, there are natural ways in keeping you glowing with health – without faking it!

How Can You Have a Youthful, Glowing Skin – Naturally?

1. Love Your Water

Keep in mind that your body is made up of 70% water and 30% matter. This means that you need to replenish water that you lose from breathing air or sweating, specially if you’re an active person. Water keeps your tissues hydrated, making it soft and supple. Water also helps flush out toxins from within, which can contribute to premature aging. You may try drinking 1 to 2 liters of water each day.

2. Be Vitamin-Conscious

Suffering from dull skin? The problem may be more than skin deep. Many people make the mistake of caring for the skin on the outside, without properly nourishing it from within. Vitamins can truly do magic for your skin, delaying the nasty signs of premature aging, and helping blood circulate well within you for that clear, flawless complexion. Love your vitamins B and C, and eat plenty of fruits and veggies. You’ll be glad that you did!

3. Have a Healthy Skin Care Habit

Following a cleansing routine will definitely put the idea of skin care sink in your daily routine – for good. Do clean your skin twice a day with mild, pure, organic, and natural cleanser that suits your skin type. Be gentle to your skin and rinse thoroughly to avoid residues clogging your pores. If possible, choose fragrance-free products. Treat your skin like that of a baby’s and make sure you protect it from outside pollutants and the Sun’s harmful UV rays. You need to give your skin that tender, loving care.

4. Beat Your Stress

Whatever you feel inside will always manifest on the outside. Don’t let physical, mental, or emotional stress take away years of youth from your skin. Stress will always give you a coarse skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and even acne. If you feel happy inside, your skin will also be glowing with this joy. So, aim to live a stress-free life, if you can.

5. Sleep Well

Nothing beats quality sleep when it comes to rejuvenating your skin for another day. Each day, you shed dead skin cells, you need to help your body replenish new ones. Lack of quality sleep can cause not only dry skin, but many other health problems as well. Problems getting sleep? Just plug into the binaural beats to help you achieve delta sleep.. so you can wake up the next day feeling super fresh.

6. Say No to Bad Habits

From smoking, drugs, to alcohol — Skip these bad habits and do away with it for good. These can strip your skin of its natural glow, other than giving you other health problems as well. Also, try to take tea or coffee moderately since they can dehydrate your skin as well. Instead, you may try fresh juices or coconut water for a change.

The adage that you are what you eat surely holds true in your quest for a youthful, glowing skin. There is no better way than the natural way in your quest for good, healthy skin. Nothing’s ever too late when starting a healthy habit. Your skin defines you!
